Sweden’s Tandem Health has acquired Dutch voice-AI specialist Juvoly, creating a combined force aimed at reducing clinician paperwork and expanding proven speech technology across Europe. Juvoly currently processes about 200,000 consultations per month and serves roughly 1,500 general practitioners with voice-controlled software that automatically generates medical reports.
Accelerating Innovation in Patient Care
Juvoly’s speech AI is tuned for medical terminology and optimized for Dutch and Frisian, delivering reported reductions in administrative time of about 40 percent for clinicians. That time savings translates into more face-to-face attention for patients and faster documentation turnaround for practices and hospitals.
Tandem Health brings international product development experience and certified medical-device processes, including MDR alignment. The combined group will scale development capacity and invest in infrastructure such as Nvidia DGX B200 supercomputers to improve model training and on-premises performance.
European Growth and Unwavering Data Privacy
Juvoly will operate under the name “Juvoly, powered by Tandem” with the current Dutch team retained to preserve local expertise. Tandem views Juvoly as a launchpad for broader European adoption, focusing on core markets in the Nordics, Benelux and other Western European regions while building out cross-border deployments.
Data residency and patient privacy are central to the plan. Clinical data will remain on Dutch servers and the combined company will continue to meet GDPR and medical data standards. That approach limits cross-border data transfer risks and aligns with regulatory expectations for health information.
